My first ever research paper has been published in an Indonesian double-blinded peer-reviewed academic journal of English language teaching. This publishing process has been a tough journey; so much to say about the procedures.
Only the review process took about six months-long periods. Along with the review process, necessary documentation for the research submission was one of the toughest learning curves. Let me explain to you why. When you engage in the publication process, we need to provide academic efforts in the submission of the manuscript as well as replying to each of the questions the reviewers ask on each sentence or paragraph. Replying to the reviewer’s comments is not an easy task, where handling each of the questions raised on your structure and logical arguments might get negative evaluations for certain reasons. In addition, preparing the cover letter and the title page for the manuscript submission was really great learning, which gave me the knowledge for further submission process in other journals. Lastly, it would have not been so easy if the open journal systems did not exist for novice researchers, which was a great help in the submission process and editorial management system- with quite an easy user interface and different sections dedicated to different research items really made it easy for any researchers. Finally, the research has been published on the last day of October 2021, and it was a piece of good news for me to catch! Delighted to know!
